Headliners, we’re making a trip to the Land of the Rising Sun once again as EDC Japan 2018 lands in Tokyo Bay for another weekend of musical memories. That’s right, the highly anticipated EDC Japan returns to Zozo Marine Stadium and Makuhari Beach Saturday, May 12, and Sunday, May 13, for a two-day takeover that will bring together the international dance music community Under the Electric Sky!
EDC Japan 2018 will also mark the first international appearance of the kineticFIELD Gaia stage. Making its festival debut at EDC Las Vegas 2017, the breathtaking structure will venture overseas to Asia where Headliners will be immersed in the beauty and spirit of Mother Earth as today’s best dance music acts perform across the stage while elements of fire and water bring Gaia to life.
This past April, the successful debut of EDC Japan welcomed 84,000 smiling Headliners who experienced cutting-edge stage production, globally renowned electronic artists and innovative art and technology. Adding to the wonder, the first-ever EDC Japan culminated with an exhilarating fireworks finale for which EDC is known around the world.
The inaugural EDC Japan welcomed world-class artists like Martin Garrix, Zedd, Marshmello, Afrojack, and Kaskade, as well as local Japanese artists, across three of Insomniac’s signature stages including the iconic kineticFIELD, the intimate neonGARDEN, and the sprawling circuitGROUNDS, located right on the beaches of Tokyo Bay. All weekend long, vibrant crowds experienced multiple interactive amenities, illuminating fireworks, costumed performers and the global energy of EDC.
